Zajax escaped from hell ten years ago and has been living a secluded life in a small southern town, forever wary that the Devil will be coming for him. He’s a former Marine Corps Psy Ops commander, expert in mind games.
Then Lucifer storms his house with three Collection Agents, to haul his badass back down to hell. There are rules, however, God’s rules: The Z must either kill himself or fall asleep, for Satan to bring him back down under.
Then a hurricane hits town! They’re trapped in Zajax’s small house, with nowhere to go. He does everything possible to stay awake – yanking a tooth out, electroshock, excruciating drug withdrawal – all the while working on them, dividing them, setting them at odds with each other – on the very brink of insanity himself.
But, of course, Lucifer anticipated all of that, planned for it – and more.
This is a bitter satire of Trump, Washington, and politics.
