WACO is in Antarctica to save the penguins from extinction from a giant solar flare coming soon, which will blow right through the ozone hole.
His high-altitude balloon collides with a Chinese satellite sent up to study the same solar flare!
Suddenly, Ice Station Nowhere is overwhelmed with military thugs from both the U.S. and China, led by US Admiral ASHRAY and Chinese Comrade JIN. Although Waco suspects they’re both nothing of the kind, but agents of the nefarious occult organization the Black Dragons.
Waco’s only ally is CHEROKEE, a brassy intelligence agent investigating Ashray for treason, posing as a reporter. They fight against time to rig up a new balloon experiment to save the penguin population from the solar flare – all the while hunted down as eco-terrorists by Ashray and Jin – who are actually protecting the secret HELSTAF lab, vast underground space in an extinct volcano basin underneath the Ross Ice Shelf.
